Photocopiers

Background

It seemed like there was a photocopier in every office & there was piles of paper left around most of them, so the client new they had a problem that had commercial & social implications. 

The Project

Spend Solutions was engaged by the client to conduct a thorough analysis of the photocopier category & to develop a category strategy that aimed to not only minimise costs, but also minimise electricity & paper usage. 


A tender was used to identify a preferred supplier however was also a vehicle to identify opportunities to optimise the number & usage of devices.

Project outcomes

Spend Solutions conducted a tender to identify a preferred supplier for photocopiers that delivered a 28% savings to the client. Spend Solutions then worked with the client to develop a photocopier policy that outlined best practice to minimise the number of devices & the amount of paper that was used. This policy resulted in the number of devices being reduced by nearly a third & paper usage reduced by a similar amount.
